The future is bright with BMF, as we have seen it.
According to TVLine, Starz has renewed the drama for a fourth season. The show’s Season 3 premiere, scheduled for Friday at 8/7c in the US and 9 pm in Canada, is one day ahead of this pickup. (The Starz app will also start streaming the episode at midnight on Friday.)
“People are enthralled with the history being made through BMF,” stated Kathryn Busby, President of Programming at Starz, in a press release. “We’re excited to begin developing a new season that will carry on the daring storytelling of the Flenory brother’s legend, which has shown to have a profound emotional connection for our audience.”
BMF, which is based on “true legends,” tells the tale of two brothers, Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi) and Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr.), who ascended through the illegal drug trade from extreme poverty in Detroit to the pinnacles of fame and fortune across the United States.
The third season of BMF will take place in the early 1990s, with Terry maintaining control in Detroit while Meech relocates to Atlanta in an attempt to expand the family’s empire in the South. Cynthia Bailey of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Dominque “Lil Baby” Jones, NE-YO, 2 Chainz, Saweetie, and other singers are among the season’s guest stars.
