Starz will show the first episode of the new season of BMF on Friday, March 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The first show can be watched earlier on the Starz app at midnight. Lionsgate Plus in the UK will likely add season 3 to its lineup, which already includes seasons 1 and 2.

“Based on true stories, BMF continues the tale of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who went from being poor in Detroit to becoming famous and wealthy across America through the illegal drug trade.” In season three, Meech goes to Atlanta to grow their business, where they will face rival crews and meet up with up-and-coming hip-hop stars. In Detroit, Terry stays put and faces both old and new enemies who are tough.
In an interview with Variety, Heather Zuhlke, who runs the show, said this about season 3:
“What you’ll see is the fallout, and all of our characters—Charles, Lucille, Meech, Terry, Bryant, and Jin—are going through a season of reinventing themselves.” There are results to all of these things. All of that will be exaggerated from now on.

First, some hiring news. Mo’Nique will not be playing Goldie again in season 3 because she died before the end of season 2. The Precious actress is no longer on the show, but some big names are coming in as guests in the new shows. There’s Dominique “Lil Baby” Jones as Payne, NE-YO as Rodney “Greeny” Green from “Stomp the Yard,” 2 Chainz as Stacks from “The Enforcer,” Saweetie from “Grown-ish” as Keeya, and Cynthia Bailey from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” as Gloria.
