  • The official notification for the Indian Army Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for the 2024-2025 session is expected to be released on the Join Indian Army website (https://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in/) by February 13th, 2024.
  • Applications for the Agniveer positions will commence online from the same date, February 13th, and continue until the closing date specified for each respective rally.

Who Can Apply?

The Agnipath scheme opens its doors to a diverse range of individuals. Here’s a breakdown of the educational qualifications required for different Agniveer categories:

  • General Duty (GD), Technical, Clerk, Store Keeper, Tradesman (Men): Applicants who have passed their Class 8th, 10th, or 12th examination from a recognized Indian board are eligible, depending on the specific post.
  • General Duty GD (Women Military Police): Women candidates who have passed their Class 10th examination with a minimum of 45% marks and 33% in each subject from a recognized Indian board can apply.
  • Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant: This category requires candidates to have completed 10+2 Intermediate with Science stream, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with a minimum of 50% marks and 40% in each subject. Alternatively, you can have a 10+2 Intermediate in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and English with similar marks.
  • Sepoy Pharma: Applicants must have passed their 10+2 examination and be qualified in D.Pharma with a minimum of 55% marks and Pharmacy Council Registration. Alternatively, a B.Pharma degree with 50% marks and registration with the State Pharmacy Council is also accepted.

Important Note: Residency plays a role in some Agniveer categories. Candidates must be residents of the specific state they are applying from for these rallies.

Physical Fitness Standards:

The Indian Army prioritizes physical fitness. To ensure you meet the required standards, here’s a breakdown of the physical eligibility criteria for various Agniveer categories:

  • General Duty GD, Technical, Clerk, Store Keeper, Tradesman (Men): This category is further divided into two groups:
    • Group I: Height requirements vary for different posts. Agniveer Office Assistant/Store Keeper requires a minimum height of 162 cm, while all other GD, Technical, and Tradesman roles demand a minimum of 169 cm. Physical tests include a 1.6 km run to be completed within 5 minutes 30 seconds, 10 pull-ups, a 9-foot ditch crossing, a zigzag balance test.
  • General Duty GD (Women Military Police): Similar to Group I for men, women candidates must be at least 162 cm tall. Physical tests include a 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes 30 seconds, a 10-foot long jump, and a 3-foot high jump.
  • Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant and Sepoy Pharma: These categories have similar height requirements based on the region:
    • Eastern Uttar Pradesh: Minimum height of 169 cm
    • Western Uttar Pradesh: Minimum height of 170 cm
    • Uttarakhand: Minimum height of 163 cm The physical tests for these categories involve a 1.6 km run to be completed within 5 minutes 45 seconds, a 9-foot ditch crossing, and a zigzag balance test.

General Duty (Men) – Additional Requirements:

This category has an additional requirement for chest measurement. Candidates applying for General Duty roles (except Ladakh region) must have a minimum chest measurement of 77 cm (unexpanded). For the Ladakh region specifically, the minimum chest requirement is relaxed to 72 cm (unexpanded).
